A dog barks when his master is attacked. I would be a coward if I saw that God’s truth is attacked and yet would remain silent.
If you have been to this site before, you might notice that some things are missing, and that it looks different. I made the choice again to delete my old site(s) and start over. Partially this is to facilitate the process of upgrading the software I use to run it (from Drupal 6.x to Drupal 7.x, for anyone interested in such things), and partially just to get a clean start. That all happened yesterday.
Now I sit here on a cold and rainy Saturday morning of a holiday weekend, with the process incomplete, while I look at 4 computer screens and a video monitor, juggling a variety of tasks that I need and/or want to tackle and, perhaps, accomplish, and my attentions are distracted once again. In theory, my son and daughter-in-law are coming out this morning to help accomplish some much-needed garden prep to get ready to plant all the bedding plants we bought last night (well, they are coming in reality - getting outside is the theoretical part). Then, I have offered to help in the nursery tonight at church, then there is all the activities of tomorrow, etc., etc. In short, while I look forward to all those things (except maybe nursery duty tonight!), I am also sort of warring against that need/desire to stay here in my little cave and accomplish all these tasks - including, but not limited to, the re-creation of this web site.
Ah, well. Grace abounds. The gospel is real and solid to stand on, whatever the everyday issues of life. And I am blessed so richly that sometimes I am just in awe. So whatever I do or don't get done, I hope I can honestly say, "I will bless the LORD at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth."
So here we go. Back soon, I hope.
